On June 29, 2017 competition on emergency preparedness and first aid between the teams of volunteers established within the framework of the Consolidating and strengthening Disaster risk reduction (DRR) through building disaster resilient communities, schools and institutions (DIPECHO IX) program at schools in Mary and Balkan velayats was organized by the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and held in the National tourists zone Avaza of Turkmenbashi city, with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Department of fire safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan and UNICEF Children’s Fund. The competition was held on a high level with diligent participation of both teams. All the participants were awarded with commemorative gifts.
