At the Social Services Department for the Elderly and Disabled in Turkmenabat, volunteers from the "Gayrat" Youth Center organized a performance for our elders in honor of the New Year 2026. The mothers and fathers residing there participated actively, as the event brought back fond memories of their youth.The volunteers presented a variety of performances, including the Turkmen Kushtdepdi, Georgian dance, Turkish Halay, Caucasian Lezginka, and Uzbek Lazgi. The program also included a "Guess the Movie by its Music" quiz and many other activities.Everyone in attendance was delighted. At the end of the event, the elderly were served sweet cakes and, most importantly, given a boost of New Year’s spirit with fresh tangerines. To conclude the performances, all the seniors danced together to the songs of their younger years. The volunteers promised to visit the nursing home more often to check on the "parents" and ensure they never feel lonely.
