A training event on the topic “Preparedness for Emergencies — One of the Key Tasks of Our Time” was held for the volunteers of the Dashoguz Regional Branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCS). In accordance with the work plan of the project “Strengthening Local and National Capacities for Preparedness and Response to Emergencies in Central Asian Countries with High Risk of Earthquakes and Natural Disasters,” implemented jointly by the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), relevant training activities continue to take place in our country. As part of this project, national consultants conducted a training session for volunteers of the Dashoguz Regional Branch of the NRCS. During the session, participants received detailed information on emergency prevention, improving preparedness for natural disasters, and the proper sequence of actions to take in such situations. These types of activities contribute to enhancing the knowledge and skills of volunteers, fostering a culture of safety within society, and strengthening the overall level of community preparedness for emergencies.
