With the onset of the autumn-winter season, as air temperatures drop, the period of active use of heating appliances begins. In this regard, strict adherence to fire safety rules, both at home and in the workplace, becomes particularly important. To this end, on November 15, 2025, explanatory events were held at the Dashoguz Velayat Branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) with the participation of representatives from the Fire Safety Department of the Dashoguz Velayat Police Directorate. During the meeting, specialists spoke about the proper and safe use of heating appliances, the necessity of maintaining electrical wiring in good working order, and what actions should be taken in the event of a fire. The discussion covered the most common mistakes made when operating gas stoves, traditional stoves (peç), and electrical devices in everyday life. In addition, participants were reminded of the emergency service numbers to call to promptly report a fire. Such meetings play an important role in forming a culture of safety among the population and in reducing the risk of fires in residential buildings and organizations.
