May 9 is a Victory Day. This celebration, which calls us all to true patriotism, is a national holiday, symbolizing boundless love for the Motherland, courage and bravery, harmony and friendship in our society. This is the day when we bow our heads in memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War, who showed unparalleled heroism and selflessness, the day when we honor the living veterans of our country.
In honor of this momentous event, employees of the Balkan velayat branch of the National Red Crescent society of Turkmenistan held a meeting with veterans of the velayat and presented them with souvenirs.
Every year fewer and fewer veterans are left, but our memory and gratitude do not fade. They are our pride! We should always remember their heroic deeds in the name of life!
