    Turkmenistan in a daily life and emergency situations”






     Propagation of patriotism, healthy lifestyle, humanity among the younger generation is one of the main instructions in the process of educating the younger generation.
As part of the implementation of the above instructions of the head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, the Organization of Women of Turkmenistan have launched a wide program to promote patriotism, healthy lifestyles, humane values held in the format of training online conferences. In the online conference program, representatives of the above ministries and organizations, as well as higher education institutions, presented presentations aimed at developing patriotic feelings, healthy lifestyles and humanism, as well as topics aimed at developing the general outlook of students.
    The audience is represented by student volunteers of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, as well as teachers of 17 higher educational institutions of the country, who will continue to promote the above-mentioned directions among their peers and colleagues.
   The coordinators and main organizers of the online project are representatives of the National Red Crescent Society, specialists from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov. The program includes such trainings as: “first aid”, “necessary actions in emergency situations” which have great importance in preventing negative outcomes affecting human health and in the process of instilling humane values among the younger generation, because helping a neighbor is one of the main criteria of humanism, such topics as: "principles of adherence to a healthy lifestyle" (Turkmen State Medical University named after Myrat Garryev) and "physical education and sports" (Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports) reminding of which,is not the duty of only health professionals and sports, but also every teacher and public figure as well.
     The presentations presented by the specialists of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan and higher educational institutions aroused great interest among the audience, students actively answered questions and exchanged impressions, opinions among peers, even after the end of the trainings, which confirms once again the importance of such projects in expanding the erudition of youth.
     The project has a continuation, to which the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan and the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli will be connected.





– Humanity

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance
without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavours, in its international and
national capacity, to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose
is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual
understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples.

– Impartiality

It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It
endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give
priority to the most urgent cases of distress.

– Neutrality

In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or
engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.

– Independence

The Movement is independent. The National Societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services
of their governments and subject to the laws of their respective countries, must always maintain
their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the

– Voluntary service

It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.

– Unity

There can be only one Red Cross or one Red Crescent Society in any one country. It must be open
to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory.

– Universality

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status
and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is worldwide.

     I have been working at the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan since 2002. Over the past 16 years. Taking part in the activities of the National Society, I has witnessed many people expressing their gratitude for the support received.
      I am proud of current achievements of the National Society. Today the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan has become the most recognized organization in all parts of our country for its humanitarian activities. People who address the National Society with their problems receive not only material, but also psychological support from the staff. In addition, staff of the National Society is carrying out large-scale activities to educate the population of rendering the first aid, as well as prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases, harmful effects of bad habits and promote healthy living. Staff members of the National Society by achieving the goals set clearly demonstrate the effective performance of the auxiliary role of the National Society.
