The Lebap Velayat branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan regularly conducts educational and practical events among the population aimed at improving the level of education of citizens, educating the younger generation on the basis of national traditions and customs passed down from our ancestors, protecting the family, maintaining cleanliness, raising a physically and spiritually healthy generation, respect for elders and love for the younger one. To conduct such events smoothly and effectively, as well as ensure high-quality training, it is important to use new textbooks that meet international standards, as well as apply practical teaching methods for self-improvement, strength building and experience acquisition. In this regard, the Lebap Velayat branch of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan, within the framework of the month of mass physical culture, sports and cultural events of a healthy lifestyle called "Health and Happiness", announced by our Esteemed Arkadag from April 1 to April 30 in the country, as well as the year called the "Year of International Peace and Trust", From April 14 to 17, 2025, a four-day training course on "Emergency preparedness" and "First aid skills" was held in Koiten village of the Koitendag etrap of the Lebap Velayat with the participation of employees and volunteers from all the velayat branches of the National Society. The four-day practical event, organized in a room equipped in accordance with modern requirements, was very effective and interesting. Each event that can occur in the desert, in water, under the influence of chemical explosives, earthquakes and landslides was discussed separately. Methods of proper and reasonable use of improvised means were demonstrated, in the absence of medical resources and before the arrival of doctors, to rescue victims in an emergency. Knowledge in this area has been expanded through detailed explanations through presentations and practical exercises of the correct ways to provide first aid to victims of various disasters that can occur in everyone's life. Success builds self-confidence. This determines effective behavior in case of emergencies. Each of us must know the right ways to help aimed at saving a person's life and preserving their health.

THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

– Humanity

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance
without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavours, in its international and
national capacity, to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose
is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual
understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples.

– Impartiality

It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It
endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give
priority to the most urgent cases of distress.

– Neutrality

In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or
engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.

– Independence

The Movement is independent. The National Societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services
of their governments and subject to the laws of their respective countries, must always maintain
their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the
Movement.

– Voluntary service

It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.

– Unity

There can be only one Red Cross or one Red Crescent Society in any one country. It must be open
to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory.

– Universality

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status
and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is worldwide.
