There were representatives of various organizations of Turkmenistan and representatives of the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan on the ceremony. The outstanding philosophical and literary work, which the Leader of the Nation completed during his vacation, is a kind of quintessence of wisdom and primordially national spiritual and moral values transmitted by the Turkmen people from generation to generation for millennia.
Published this year under the deeply symbolic motto “The Epoch of the People with Arkadag”, the book, being unique in its content and meaning, summarizes information about the achievements of independent neutral Turkmenistan, as well as about significant historical milestones of the state and the main stages of the national Leader’s life, who devoted himself to serving his beloved Motherland and native people.
In his introductory speech, the author, honorary elder of the nation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasizes that it is the duty of every person to think not only about the path he has traveled, but also about what needs to be done in his later life.
After analyzing his accumulated knowledge and experience, the nation’s Leader summarized them in another philosophical work, paying special attention to the issues of perfection of spirituality, the laws of the universe, the best character traits and bright thoughts that elevate every person.
The book consists of several chapters: “The Culture of Being”; “The Word about Faith”; “Primordial Principles Rooted in the Depths of Millennia”; “A Backward Look”; “Pilgrimage to the Holy Mecca and Medina”; “The Spiritual and Moral School of the Nation”.
Truly priceless in meaning and content, the work of the Hero-Arkadag became a vivid illustration of the large-scale, painstaking scientific and literary activity carried out on his initiative for the systematic collection, detailed study and popularization of the great heritage of glorious ancestors who made a significant contribution to the development of global civilization.
Our people have something to be proud of. Emphasizing this, the leader of the nation in his concluding remarks noted that a lot of wise admonitions and ideas that he would like to share with the readership will also be included in a new continuation book “Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty”.
The next outstanding historical and philosophical work, which came out from the pen of the Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and just recently published by the Turkmen State Publishing Service at a high printing level, will certainly become a spiritual support and a beacon for our people, illuminating the way to achieving great goals in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State. At the end of the presentation ceremony, the participants wished our Hero Arkadag good health, long life and success in all his endeavors aimed at the well-being of our people.

THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

– Humanity

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance
without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavours, in its international and
national capacity, to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose
is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual
understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples.

– Impartiality

It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. It
endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs, and to give
priority to the most urgent cases of distress.

– Neutrality

In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or
engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature.

– Independence

The Movement is independent. The National Societies, while auxiliaries in the humanitarian services
of their governments and subject to the laws of their respective countries, must always maintain
their autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the
Movement.

– Voluntary service

It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.

– Unity

There can be only one Red Cross or one Red Crescent Society in any one country. It must be open
to all. It must carry on its humanitarian work throughout its territory.

– Universality

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status
and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is worldwide.
